In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of carpooling and ridesharing apps in Oceania varied significantly across different metrics. Here, we examine the trends of the top five apps, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady download rate, starting at approximately 37K weekly downloads in early July and peaking at nearly 39K in mid-July. Active users showed fluctuations, with a peak at around 2.16M in mid-September.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, reaching over 32K by the end of September. Active users also saw growth, culminating at over 811K in the last week of the quarter.

Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery faced a decline in downloads initially, but recovered to about 22K by the end of the quarter. Its active user base was more volatile, starting at 159K and ending at approximately 143K.

Bolt: Request a Ride showed a downward trend in downloads, with numbers dropping from 15K to around 10K. However, active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 69K towards the end of the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a consistent download rate, averaging about 11K weekly. Active users increased steadily, reaching over 335K by the end of September.
